Grant Hansen

Chair

As well as providing leadership to the Board, Grant is a musician, actor, radio presenter, and television host. He fronts the popular NITV/SBS television program, The Marngrook Footy Show. He has a long background of productive involvement in Aboriginal affairs and has sat on the Boards of many prominent organisations. 

Sherryn Antonopoulos

DEPUTY CHAIR

Sherryn is a proud Taungurung woman who is committed to contributing to the cultural and corporate development of TCAC. She is a senior manager of the National Australia Bank and brings her knowledge and skill to the many issues facing the Board.

Alex Burns

DIRECTOR

Alex is a proud Taungurung man with expertise in the Indigenous-specific recruitment area through his work with the Hudson Indigenous Employment Network. He has expertise in business planning, tenders and corporate partnerships.

Uncle Mick Harding

DIRECTOR

Mick is a Taungurung Elder, a highly accomplished artist and a prominent leader in Koori affairs. Mick is the co-chair for the Aboriginal Treaty Working  Group and made history by being the first ever Aboriginal person to address the Victorian Cabinet in 2017. Mick has been involved as one of our negotiators since the beginning of the Taungurung journey towards an Agreement under the Traditional Owner Settlement Act. Mick’s artwork has been used by many prestigious organisations including the AFL, where Mick designed some of the Guernseys for the Indigenous round matches. Mick is also the creator of the TCAC logo.

Matthew Shanks

As well as serving the TCAC Board, Matthew is a Natural Resource Management Policy Officer at the Federation of Victorian Traditional Owner Corporations (FVTOC). Matthew also holds a degree in Environmental Management and Sustainability and is an active participant in community, cultural and environmental projects on Taungurung Country. In his spare time Matthew is a keen cyclist.

Aunty Patsy Smith

director

Patsy is one of our longest serving Board members and has spent more than ten years as a member of the TCAC Board. Patsy is also an accomplished creative artist, photographer, sculptor, and has participated in many art installations and community events, as well as being the founding director of Baluk Arts. Her artwork has been described as “reflective, strong” and with “honest integrity”. Patsy has contributed greatly to TCAC over many years.

Aunty Jacqui Stewart

Jacqui is a Taungurung Elder and has extensive experience delivering welcomes to country, and participating in cultural consultations. Jacqui enjoys taking part in cultural and community activities and has participated in the annual Kulin Nation’s Tanderrum event. Jacqui also provides services as an Aboriginal Elder for the Koori Courts of Victoria.

Marcus Stewart

director

Marcus Stewart is a Nira illim bulluk man of the Taungurung Nation. He is a seasoned negotiator and strategist and has held several senior management positions. He has helped implement a number of strategies and policies through senior roles in State Government and as a previous TLaWC CEO. His broad understanding of politics, policy and the challenges facing Traditional Owners gives Marcus the ability to lead and be a voice of change. He believes Traditional Owners should be at the forefront of the decision-making process for self-determination and achieving economic independence.
